Job Description:
We are an affiliate of a well-known and highly respected hedge fund with over US$11 billion in assets under management. We are looking for highly talented graduates from Tsinghua and Peking universities (only) to join us.

We seek research scientists to construct sophisticated quantitative and computer-based models to predict the movements of the worldwide stock markets. Candidates need not have prior knowledge of stock markets or experience working in the financial industry, but must have a strong interest in learning about worldwide financial markets. Our highly accomplished senior staff will provide the new hirers with mentoring and guidance to help them succeed in their research projects.
Candidates for the research scientist position must:
· Be graduating in 2008 from China’s best universities (your undergraduate degree must be from either Tsinghua or Peking Universities) in a highly analytical field, such as:
Engineering (any Engineering)
Mathematics (or Statistics, etc.)
Physics
Computer Science (Software Engineering)
or any other field that is highly analytical and quantitative
· Have a research scientist mindset, i.e., be a deep thinker, creative, persevering, smart, a self-starter, etc.
· Be highly competent in a programming language (C++ or C)
· Understand English
· Have a strong interest in learning about worldwide financial markets
· Have a strong work ethic -- successful candidates will actively be engaged in research projects for 12 or more hours a day (although they do not need to be physically present in the office for all those hours)
